Thirdparty Partitioner Support

I am wondering if there is a plan to bring a 3rd party partitioner/load balancer support is planned for Cabana?

Zoltan2/ParMetis seems to be good candidates. As Cabana already supports data migration seem pretty easy to integrate those 3rd party libraries. For Naive Particle simulations it would be definitely a big advantage. The question which I do not know is if such implementation also helps for PIC type simulations?

Yes, we have support for ALL currently https://github.com/ECP-copa/Cabana/wiki/Grid-Loadbalancer and an (admittedly old) issue #457 detailing how we could generalize functionality in our sparse grids for dense grids. I'm only vaguely familiar with the libraries you mention; I'm not sure how they differ from ALL
