How much current is the board limited to (on the hardware side)?
How much is safe?
Does anyone have a data sheet?
I really tried a lot looking for one but nothing came up :(

Depends on the motor used. Hoverboard motors generally start overheating around 10 amps if your constantly pushing it for a while. Safe continuous is around 5 amps and peak is 15 amps.
