Darkmode switcing side

Description:
When using the websites dark mode functions it does not keep the dark mode enabled when you go to other paths on the site.

Reproduse:

1. Click the moon icon, the sites turns into dark mode.
2. Click on another tab. The site goes back to lightmode.

Tested on:
Chrome
Version 139.0.7258.155 (Official Build) (arm64)

I do not observe this issue on Chrome Version 141.0.7390.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)
or Firefox 143.0.1 (64-bit)

Apparently, Having macOS Light Mode selected brings the issue. For some reason, if you are on Dark Mode in System Preferences and switch the site to Light Mode, it stays consistent. But using Light Mode in System Preferences causes the website to flip to Light Mode when you switch sites after clicking the Dark Mode button and going to another page.

Tested in Chrome and safari.
