Summary of bug

Error message in cesm.log:
Abort with message NetCDF: Unknown file format in file without indication of the file name.
Hint in the lnd.log that it may be a stream file; the lnd.log ends with:
adding field sdate1_43 to fldbun_data for stream 1

diff lnd_in with the master baseline ctsm5.3.075 (where the same test passed) led me to the culprit:
ncdump -k gdds_20250809_025305.tweaked_latlons.nc
returns the same error.

@samsrabin had this comment:
It looks like rimport wasn't smart enough to handle the symlink in /glade/campaign/cesm/cesmdata/cseg/inputdata. Will talk to Jim about that [...] file an issue for now, and we'll fix it once it's rimported correctly.

General bug information

CTSM version you are using: alpha-ctsm5.4.CMIP7.11.ctsm5.3.075 but the previous tag's baseline alpha-ctsm5.4.CMIP7.11.ctsm5.3.071 had the same failure

Does this bug cause significantly incorrect results in the model's science? No.

Configurations affected: See test name in the title.

Jim mentioned that rimport is no longer supported but its replacement should be ready next week. He's going to delete the symlink from the SVN server, and for now we'll just deal with not having the file on Izumi, rather than manually copying it and potentially forgetting that there's no remote copy.

@samsrabin I've removed the file from svn. I am still working on the new publishing process and will let you know when it's ready.

On derecho the file seems ./rimport-ed and relink-ed:
