How to add netcdf library for a unit test

I am trying to write some tests (unit tests, and more functional tests) for FATES that require use of netcdf libraries (Fortran and C). I see in the run_tests program there are methods for finding the NETCDF_PATH but I'm not sure how to update my various CMakeLists.txt files to utilize these methods.

Any help would be much appreciated!
