Support Front-Matter with Twig templates

I'm using front-matter yaml in my twig templates, it and see the following error:
A template that extends another one cannot include contents outside Twig blocks. Did you forget to put the contents inside a {% block %} tag?at line 1 col 1

Can you add support for yaml on top of the templates?
