New version 3 comments all ergonomic change!

The menu in model setup has changed: the user cannot go by touch screen to the chapter. User has to remember where it was and click on page up or page down until the folder appears. Idiot decision, which doesn't bring any advantage. I have checked through the System
button ..., WOW! I have a colored touched screen and it is in black and white! First WONDERFULL stupid idea and of course to make it more idiotic no sub folders directly on the screen once one choice is selected. Great stupid Idea. click and clicks more than ever. Some say only people who can't their mind and are changes opponents minded will complain. I agree and adapt to any change but request ergonomic effectiveness, in this point the latest version is just the contrary. So either I reload through buddy to the official version latest underneath 3.0 and leave it there for ever, as more ergonomic and reminding, but then no progress possible. I will do that first, SELL all my RADIOMASTER emitters from TX16s, TX15MAX, down to Zorro and all the receivers and buy the latest brands from Multiplex or Futaba which I had before. Good luck guy's. I suggest RADIOMASTER makes his own program included to get out of EdgeTX stupid evolution decision. By the way, these latest Multiplex and Futaba are color every page and offer special function and logic functions.

Now, in a more serious way...

The color will probably will be abled to be changed if we ask (nicely)

I was skeptical at first with the concept, "why to change a good working way",
But it took me two weeks to understand the magic in that menu concept.

Today, the more I use it, i love it more.
It fast(!) to use, even though it some time needs more clicks.
It more consistent, and more clear because of the text in the icons.
Changing again and again the "inputs" or "mixes" is just 2 clicks after the first time, one SYS and one touch.

I suggest to anyone, hold yourself, use it for a month, then let us know your opinion.

I also like it very much. Certainly I was also sceptical in the beginning. But giving this a chance you ll get used to it pretty fastly and at least in the companion it feels being faster for doing eg. expecially repetitive tasks.

The only thing I am not sure about is the new X (exit) button on the top right corner. I dont think this is necessary.

Thanks for the feedback. re: the close button ... How do you close the current screen via touch only then? As you can use this with no touch, touch, or a hybrid of touch + hard keys (fastest method of interaction IMO).

For touch-only navigation, you are right, this is the fastest way to exit the menu returning back to home screen. But it is still inconsistent with the QuickMenuOverlay. How do you exit this one by touch? Here is no clear visual indicator given, you have to click on "EdgeTX" (or anywhere in the topbar). This could work for the standard menus as well, if we dont want to overload the UI with CTAs for each navigation direction. Furthermore we are also having lots of option dialogues with no idication how to exit or to save (or to close). I think generally there is room for improvement, but I really appreciate the work on the UI and its evolution so far.

One more idea for the menu overlay, you already implemented theming of main menu icon color and bg, maybe consider also an option being able to theme active and inactive menu elements. I personally feel that the opacity of inactive menu icons is too high.
