cannot simulate V16 in companion, joystick disabled

Current Behavior

When connectung V16 to Linux Mint Companion 2.11.3 (also tried 2.11.2) , the simulate radio is grayed out. At one time , there was a message saying that the reason was that no joystick was found. I cannot reproduce this.

Reading the models and settings from the radio works well.

Pls asv if this is a settung problem or a posdible bug?
