On some controllers, the buttons range from 0 to 127 and appear as a slider. That's why they can't be used to fire a key.

Another good find, I only have one controller which uses velocity instead of value for buttons, but perhaps it would be better to use both value and velocity and allow for configuring a certain threshold or value to match to indicate when a "button" is pressed.

That way it is flexible/configurable for any type of midi input.

I have implemented the above suggested solution. (See release: v0.1.6). Now you need to hold the button and click save in order for the extension to know which value should be used as a trigger.

Please test it and let me know if it is working for you!

I tried it several times, but I can't make the button work.
I have to copy the python command?
