Connecting CLN (on Umbrel) to Zeus

Hello, I spoke with Shahana some time ago and she explained that connecting Zeus to the CLN Application on Umbrel wasn’t working because the connectWallet screen is missing the clnrest (tor) option. This turned out to be a documentation oversight, since the option requires an environment variable called TOR_SERVICE to be set. In the screenshot you can see that i don't have that option on the 25.05 Core Lightning Node on Umbrel.

I also saw that several issues related to wallet connection URIs and the UI were fixed in Release v25.07 (https://github.com/ElementsProject/cln-application/releases/tag/v25.07
). I was wondering when those improvements should be included in Umbrel’s next update of CLN?

That said, I noticed Umbrel is still running CLN Application v25.05, which is quite behind compared to v25.07 on GitHub and the latest v25.09. Do you know when it will be possible to finally connect Zeus to my node on Umbrel? Thanks a lot!

Just a quick update: I have run into a mandatory config issue. The latest cln-application now requires a config file, which Umbrel does not provide. So either I need to create it via entrypoint script or make that optional in cln-application first, release new cln-application version, and then update Umbrel. This is taking a bit more time than I expected, but I am working on it and will circle back as soon as it is unblocked.
