Support other hosting methods than using GitHub and Github pages

I am hosting gamecache on gitlab pages, but now I can't upgrade past that PR, because it is now tightly integrated with GitHub API.

Do you consider adding support for other hosting methods than github?

@carbolymer Hi! That's too far off my own use-case for me to prioritize, I'm afraid. If you fork the project, I don't think it should be super hard to replace github with gitlab.

What about just selfhosting, I mean independently of any of the SaaS - just a website without a backend plus a job regenerating the database? That doesn't seem to that far off from the current solution. Would it be something you could support?

The target audience for this project is people (including me) that doesn't want to fuzz about with setting up web servers, certificates and dealing with regular updates. If you're really against GitHub, I think forking is probably your best option.
