Login Failed

I was randomly logged out of my Emu Achievements account, and whenever I try to login I am met with the message "Login Failed".

I have tried updating decky and emuachievements, as well as resetting my web API and connect API but neither of these have worked. Anyone else run into this issue or know a fix?

This issue seems to be universal. Retroachievements did some maintenance that broke the plugin. There's no fix, the plugin needs an update.

It just broke again today. I was logged in yesterday without issues. Today I get the login error notification and no achievements are showing up.

Was just coming back here to also comment my initial comment was wrong from yesterday. It too has broken for me again. I see there's a new steam update too. It seems to be very on par with not working for 3 months, finally getting a fix, then broken in 2 weeks again.

Tried checking what's going on in Decky logs…

It seems that when trying to "log in", this plugin POSTs a "get Achievement of the Week" request (apparently to test if the key works), but receives back HTTP 403 from Cloudflare, along with a webpage saying "Sorry, you have been blocked".

…Incidentally, according to the docs that request should be retrieved using the GET method; though I doubt that's what caused the Cloudflare block.

This seems to be the reason why this issue is only occurring sometimes; it "starts working" when Cloudflare lifts the block, then it "stops working" once it blocks you again 😅

…I'd say the devs need to figure out what exactly is causing the issue and how it can be changed. (Perhaps the plugin spams RA servers/hits the rate limit when refreshing games data. 🤔) Or if they can't think of anything that seems like it might cause a problem, they should check with RA crew what exactly is causing these blocks.

P.S. I'm reasonably sure that #32, #52 and #55 are the same exact issue; it was just never fixed so far…

login failed for me too today. refreshed the api key and even reset my password but still nothing. everythings up to date

My emuchievements says its logged in, and it will log in successfully when done manually in settings- but will consistently fail to register as logged in when starting the game.

Saw there was an update that had it working for me about 20 mins ago, until an old steam update from June I never updated to just broke it again. I've tried uninstalling and reloading everything and it just keeps saying Login Failed

Getting login failed too. A good first step would be to output more detailed error messages to aid debugging
