Hi, I am wondering whether there is a canonical spelling for ENVO (or EnvO). I'm setting up an automatic spellchecker tool in a documentation repository. I'm at the stage of iteratively running it and updating its "allow list" to eliminate remaining false positives. The documentation contains "EnvO", which the spellchecker tool flags as a misspelled word (as it does for many correctly-spelled surnames and acronyms). Before adding "EnvO" to the "allow list," I decided to check the EnvO website to confirm that was the "correct" spelling. On the website, I saw two spellings (those are shown below): Is there one spelling that you would prefer people to use over the other one? |

This spell checking is great. Thanks @eecavanna In most semantic/linked-data systems, the prefix is ENVO, all upper case I habitually write EnvO when I am talking about the project or the knowledge model that gets serialized as envo.owl because it's not an acronym Do you have to pick one? |

Thanks, @turbomam. No, I don't have to pick only one. I can add both spellings to the "allow list."
Since the "EnvO" website uses both spellings (as shown in the above screenshot), I'll add both spellings to the "allow list" now. The guidance I'll give people for future use (I'm not planning to spend any more time on its current uses in the documentation repository I'm working on) is that I'd recommend they default to casing it as "EnvO" (because it's not an acronym) unless they are using it in a context that requires some other casing (like using it as a prefix).
