Orion status not showing last experiment

oroin status not displaying an existing experiment called exp. This caused me a great deal of confusion since calling orion hunt -n exp would record the results of the trials but then orion status would not show anything about exp and this made it seem like no information was recorded. Calling orion info --name exp did show the summary of the experiment. What I think happened is after launching a bunch of trials, I noticed all of them failed because of a bug so I deleted the experiment with orion db rm exp but without waiting the completion of currently running trials.

It's quite confusing indeed that status would not show the experiment but info would.

I tried to reproduce the issue based on your description. I ran an experiment with 5 trials, than started it with a 6th trial and deleted the experiment with orion db rm which deleted the experiment and all trials. The result was that running worker crashed at the end of the trial since the update failed because the trial no longer existed in the DB. Both status and info outputs no experiment.

Do you still have the faulty experiment/trials? It would help if I could see it what state they are.

Unfortunately, I have since deleted the whole experiment since it was preventing the recording of more trials...

Would you still have the outputs of the last experiments that ran, of status and info? Otherwise I'd would be very difficult to investigate this bug further since I am not able to reproduce it.
