Sun shaft and background color no clear instructions please help

Hi

Id like to start off by saying amazing mod, makes the game much better.
However Im having difficulty seeing while using VR in studio with the bright sun shaft and white background.

I read another post talking about changing the background color via
targetCamera.backgroundColor = Color.gray
but which file do I input this in?

And the xml file has effect blacklist options but what is the input to blacklist sun shaft in studio?
