Better Python f-string support

I'd like to get better f-string support, to highlight the interpolated parts etc.

I saw your comment here that its not possible to use this with textmate scopes: #25

I tried this extension which provides much better python f-string highlighting however I do not like having variables in all different colors: https://github.com/MalcolmMielle/Semantic-Highlighting

Any chance of better f-string support in this extension?
I tried the scope inspector and it seems there's no different semantic rules for the different parts of the f-strings? only different textmate scopes?
Maybe I am mistaken?
