These are instructions for manually uninstalling BlackHole. You can also uninstall by downloading and running the uninstaller. Download Uninstaller
Close all your audio devices, including ‘Audio MIDI setup’ and ’Sound’ in your ‘System Settings’
Open your terminal
Go to the directory where the driver is located cd /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL
cd /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL
Check if the driver is there. You should see the directory ‘BlackHole.driver’ ls
ls
remove the directory ‘BlackHoleXch.driver’
sudo rm -rf BlackHole2ch.driver
sudo rm -rf BlackHole16ch.driver
sudo rm -rf BlackHole.driver
restart the core audio driver sudo launchctl kickstart -kp system/com.apple.audio.coreaudiod
sudo launchctl kickstart -kp system/com.apple.audio.coreaudiod
Check your system preferences and / or audio midi setup. You should not see the BlackHole driver anymore.
