Install on Ubuntu ARM - "Unable to locate package libpcre++-dev"

Hi, I'm on Ubuntu 24.04 ARM64 (running in UTM on MBP M1) and have tried the build instructions for BedRock and can't proceed past the install for libpcre++-dev.

I've searched around and tried a few things but not sure how to get the package added to the apt-get list... Anyone know what I should do?

Well.... I installed both libpcre++-dev and the zlib1g-dev (and their dependencies) manually by downloading the .DEBs directly and apt install'ing them... That seemed to work in terms of getting them installed.

However, I'm getting errors during build now:

libstuff/libstuff.cpp:51:10: fatal error: pcre2.h: No such file or directory

But, then I notice this in this comments next to the #include <pcre2.h> line:

There's a comment that says: // sudo apt-get install libpcre2-dev

So, I guess I have to install libpcre2-dev as well for the build to work.

Man... getting this to build is a HUGE hassle. Maybe I'm running an unsupported version of Ubuntu? I'm on 24.04 ARM... I get the feeling that these Perl libs are not included in the ARM build by default or in the package archive by default. Is there a specific version of Ubuntu I should be running to build and then (finally) test BedRock?

Ok, I just -

sudo apt-get install libpcre2-dev

And, that seems to eliminate the build errors mentioned above.... We'll see how this goes. This build takes a Long Time to complete (host machine is MBP M1 16GB and I've allocated several cores and 6GB mem to the Ubuntu VM)....

I'll give it awhile and see how this goes with the build but I'm worried that the docs are seriously outdated and worry there's other gotchas ahead. But, please update the docs to include the line above at a minimum.
