Describe the bug
Edit: Leaving the original description intact but adding that, as @KittenIsLive suggested, it does seem to be related to having a wooden hoe in my offhand.
Original:
I had a world in 1.0.0, and today updated to 1.1.0. I cut down a tree and went to replant it and as soon as I place the sapling, it vanishes and the item appears to be removed from my inventory (e.g. I go from 5 saplings to 4), but as soon as I interact with that inventory slot, it goes back to the proper count.
Same thing happens with other blocks, including dirt and chests. Some spots seem inconsistent (I can place dirt there some times but not other times) but once the game gets in that state, I can't seem to plant any saplings. Quitting the world and rejoining doesn't change anything, nor does entirely exiting the application and relaunching it.
I created a new world and after a little bit encountered the same behaviour. That world was created in 1.1.0, not upgraded from 1.0.0.
Steps to reproduce
I don't know what triggers it... It doesn't seem to happen right away in a world, but it's happened in two worlds now (both in 1.1.0) and once it starts I can't get it to let me consistently place blocks as I'd expect.
Expected behaviour
Able to place blocks/saplings/etc in places where I should be able to place those things
