In the Sodium Extra mod, there is an option to Reduce Resolution on MacOS in the Extras category.

Why should it be changed

On MacOS the resolution is extremely high, and that massively affects performance. This option just makes the game's resolution lower.

Did you confirm this on macOS yourself? From what I recall, the option gets automatically enabled on macOS and cannot be enabled elsewhere.

Yes I have MacOS and it doesn't automatically enable, I have to manually do it.
