Hi,
As far as I know, GB18030 is a Simplified Chinese character set standard (similar to UTF-8) released in 2022.
I was wondering if there is any plan to add support for GB18030 in the Jackson CSV module — for example, by introducing something like a GB18030Reader.
Recently, I encountered an issue when reading a CSV file containing a few GB18030-encoded characters, and Jackson threw an exception.

Thank you for explanation @ZhaoxiongChen. There are no plans for optimized readers beyond UTF-8 -- expectation would be for caller to construct appropriate java.io.Reader implementation and pass that to CsvMapper.

EDIT: after reading bit more, f.ex https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GB_18030 -- I realized this is probably more complicated case. But for now at least, custom-constructed Reader would be needed (and be the only supported mechanism).
