I would love to see controls for volume, fast forward, and rewind.

Volume Control is definetly on the list. For fast forward and rewind I'll have to see how difficult it is to implement...

I've finally switched back to windows. I'll take a look at this once I find the time to do so just know that I've not forgotten about this
