Blinking pixels are pixels that show some aberrant values (either too high or too low) for only few frames in the observation. On my opinion, we can not rely on these pixels and they should be flagged as bad pixels
Cosmic ray affected pixels are a group of pixels exhibiting extremely high values for a single frame in the observation. We should be able to detect and filter them from the observation.
