@patzi that issue is about manual editing which should presumably permanently change the track data stored on the server. This is one is about keeping recorded tracks the way they are but selectively withholding some of it. The user themselves should see all of it, and I guess all of it should be sent when explicitly sharing, but public track displays should omit a few 100m at the start and end, as should any API requests for public track data. |

When starting a trail at home I might decide to upload and share it with my wanderer account. However, I do not want my home address to be known.
Commercial providers (like komoot) solve this issue by not showing start and end waypoints that are within a configurable radius (like 300 meters) around a customizable „home location“.
