@FlorianWoelki Thank you for creating this plugin! Does anyone know of a good alternative to this plugin, or an existing fork of this plugin? If not, would anyone else be interested in forking and maintaining this plugin in the future? If so, I'd be interested in contributing PRs. |

Hey community!
After careful consideration, I'm announcing the deprecation of this project and the end of maintenance effective March 1, 2025. This decision stems from three key factors:
This has been an incredible journey watching Iconize evolve from a simple tool to a community-adopted solution. While proud of our progress, I recognize the project suffered from overextension in feature scope, inadequate optimization for core functionalities, and insufficient resources for sustained quality control.
What's next?
On March 1, 2025, all issues and pull requests will be disabled for this project, and the repository will be officially marked (in the README file) as not maintained anymore. However, the codebase will remain public under an MIT license for community forks or derivative works. Maybe I'll also work on the plugin again in the future.
Final acknowledgments
To every contributor who:

Your contributions shaped this project beyond my initial vision. While this chapter closes, I'm excited to see how the Obsidian ecosystem evolves and what innovative solutions emerge from this vibrant community.
With gratitude,
Florian
