The credentials property file does not open correctly

The hereCredentials_new.properties file will not be read correctly, if the jar is run from a different folder than the target folder.

The location of the file must be read out correctly.

I’m interested in contributing to this issue as part of my preparation for GSoC.

Understanding of the problem

Currently, the hereCredentials_new.properties file is loaded using a relative file path.
This causes failures when the JAR is executed from a directory different from the target folder, as the working directory changes.

Proposed approach

I plan to update the credentials loading logic to:

• Load the properties file via the classpath (e.g. getResourceAsStream), or
• Provide a configurable path via environment variables / JVM arguments, with a safe fallback

This will make the application location-independent and more robust for deployment.

Before proceeding with a PR, I wanted to confirm:

• Whether classpath-based loading is preferred, or
• If an external configurable path is expected for production usage

Once confirmed, I’ll implement the fix and add minimal documentation if needed.

thanks for contributing to this. I have to confess that I have not had a look into this repo for a while and I was also not developing it in the first place. I just took it, when the student project that created it had finished.
Thus, I am happy with whatever works well for your purpose.
I would have a minor preference towards the 2nd option (i.e. external configurable path).

I have heard about GSoC before, but never participated myself. Not sure, what you would expect exactly from my side, but I am happy to support, if I can.
Would definitely be great if this project get some drive through this initiative.
