Has anyone had an issue with migrating data with French characters from Sybase ASE to SQL Server?
Is there a way (either bcp or datacopy) to translate the Sybase CP850 to a more modern character set in SQL Server? We have been using datacopy which copies the data byte-for-byte so that the characters in the SQL Server database are CP850. The FreeTDS libraries [like CT-Lib] handle these fine, but the Microsoft Windows drivers do not have a way to properly handle them [per our case with Microsoft].
