[Bug]: "Youtube blocked your IP address to watch videos. Ty changing to another VPN or proxy"

Describe the bug

after selecting a video to watch, after 2 or 3 videos, the video gets "blocked", just like on previous versions of FreeTube

Just tried to use the previous version i know it was working ( v0.23.6) and it says "video unavailable" and another error i culdn't get in time.
(same video btw)

It is normal for this to happen with VPN and Proxy and cannot be fixed. Vistordata is only suitable for local networks. YouTube blocks VPN connections. Use the latest version to avoid errors.

Can confirm this also happens on non-VPN/non-Proxy connections and on 0.23.8.beta.
Aside: this also affects NewPipe, ytp-dl, youtube-nocookie, etc. Switching to mobile network I could watch videos again on these, so it seems address-based.

It can happen. This can also happen on the official YT website without logging into the account. Because YouTube has blacklisted your IP address. Therefore, it is impossible to fix it. You can request a new IP address from your ISP. PoToken doesn't even work if the IP address is blocked or there is a VPN.

Users open the same issue multiple times, but it's pointless. I have never had such problems and I am never affected. If your IP address is blocked, YT has received too many requests from you

Thank you for the quick response. I suspected as much, but I figured I would report it regardless in case there more reports going forward.
As for too many requests: I can't say I have used freetube particularly often or extensively today. Probably just unlucky.

I have upgraded to v 0.23.8 beta too, and initially the errors of #7863 stopped immediately. However just now the above one suddenly came back again.

I'm not sure this is real evidence or not, but if I try to open the same videos in embed mode, I get the "please login to prove you're not a bot" message, and in actual logged in youtube (not embed), I can watch the video just fine. Being IP blocked should still affect logged-in streaming, right?

Don't think it's a false positive, since I do not use VPNs with FT and it's happening again, even after just booting up FreeTube after ~2hours without watching a video.
The behavior seems similar to the previous one: after some time, the video stops (like i mentioned yesterday) or just booting up and watching 1 video and changing to the next., it blocks playback.

For a while, in the previous version i was using, embed videos worked, but not anymore. ("sign in to confirm youre not a bot shenaningans even when logged in)

@Jack-McKalling No, being logged in gives you an extra level of credibility in YouTube's eyes.

@AlfaScarlate Not sure what's up with your home IP but you always seem to have issues that other people only have on VPNs and proxies. Not sure what to say other than stop doing whatever you are doing to get your home IP address flagged or find a different ISP or something.
