API, would it be just an exercise?

The YAIL server currently supports just a raw TCP socket. Although efficient and simple it begs the question whether or not it should also provide a web API. Fujinet provides the ability to interact with a Web API so it would be possible.

What would be the overhead?

Would it increase complexity of the client software?

What would we gain from it?
