chromebook with UFS doesn't work

me and my gf were trying to get submarine working but it doesn't detect her ufs internal storage. we tried editing the kernel flags to set CONFIG_SCSI_UFSHCD to Y but that didn't work either

Neither mt8188 nor mt8196 are currently supported at all. Stuff is too new for the kernel submarine uses. Its a miracle if it boots at all.

i believe the board codename is yaviks_ufs?
