regional area sources

There are many places on earth with frequent earthquakes but no known or visible active faults are consistent with the earthquakes; their may be differences in location, kinematics etc. between the EQs and the faults, or no faults may be visible in the landscape. In these instances, it would be good to have area sources that are part of the regional and global catalogs.

We need to have a consistent format and methodology for including these in the data.
