Cluster configuration

Vector [point] layers have the option to be clustered. The display of features as a cluster helps with overlapping symbology. The cluster distance is therefore defined as pixel.

A very small distance eg 1 is not ideal since cluster icons and label will overlap which prevents information in regards to the distribution of features being obscured.

At a higher zoom level it is impossible to distinguish individual locations.

An ideal cluster distance is dependent on the size of icons. Where cluster icons are scaled between 20 and 40 pixel [depending on the count in the biggest cluster] a distance of 25 pixel provides a good information in the regard to the distribution of locations. Labels are clearly visible.

When zoomed in it is possible to distinguish individual features since the overlap of icons is minimal [less than 50%].
