Airbnb config rules #32

@Gijsdeman

Description

@Gijsdeman

What would you like?

Extend the repository with a style guide for java- and typescript rules.

Why is this needed?

Airbnb has a well defined style guide, some rules of which are very useful. However, it has two main issues:

  • It focuses much on backwards comparability and has yet to upgrade to provide ESLint 9 support (quite some PRs have been opened, but grown stale).
  • It does not have TypeScript support, in the sense that another dependency has to be added to extend the airbnb-base config to provide useful TypeScript rules, which are not documented in a style guide.

We could adapt established rules from the airbnb config and the typescript config to build our own customized typescript config that fits our needs.
