Suggestions for landing page for OpenACR section of Section508.gov

OpenACR will need to be managed from within Section508.gov. There needs to be a landing page to explain this ACR, link to the editor and help provide folks manage the transition.

From a design and usability perspective I think these are some important points for the landing page:

• Many of the interior pages of Section508.gov don't have photos, but I think it's important to show the impact that OpenACR can have on federal employees with disabilities being able to conduct their job duties with minimal friction.
• Use of icons with text labels to add visual emphasis and interest and reduce cognitive load
• A glossary to explain unfamiliar terms and to demystify acronyms
• Role-based content so that vendors, procurement, and accessibility SMEs and advocates can understand how the new format will affect them

We developed content for the OpenACR site which was designed to help folks understand why it is important, regardless of their level of knowledge about accessibility and procurement.

Perhaps some of this content can be adopted into the new OpenACR landing page, or linked to from the landing page:
