Restore /pingmods? #11
Description
The /contactmods command was intended to supersede /pingmods, having similar functionality to the old version while simultaneously opening a thread to privately discuss the issue with a moderator. However, I feel like there's still some issues with this system; namely, having to open a thread every time you want to discretely notify the moderators can be quite irritating. Oftentimes, a report is self-explanatory enough that it doesn't need a conversation in regard to it; Obviously, there are scenarios where a thread is useful, and I think the creation of /contactmods is a net positive, however I think adding more process to reporting a user dissuades a lot of people from doing so.
Having /pingmods as a simpler alternative (perhaps with functionality moderator-side to manually open a thread if more elaboration is required) would encourage more users to report topics and messages they believe are inappropriate, as they won't feel pressured to justify their report directly to the moderators.
