What is the recommended approach for folder selection component

What is the recommended approach to create a component that can select a directory (the current file component only allows selecting files)?

This would be useful to allow a user to configure the working directory for a shell command runner plugin for example.

As I know there will be such a component in the future.
Currently the "recommended" approach is to use the delegate component.

The component is useful for functionality that is not native to the property inspector, e.g. browsing for a folder.

Then you would have to implement the folder dialog by yourself in the nodejs runtime. I havn't found a good and native folder picker dialog like the one of e.g. electron though.

But since there will be a dedicated component just for directory picking in the future. I also think it will come out this year.
