Major changes include:

• Windows version now has special handling for 16-bit EXEs for icon thumbnailing.

The Windows version is now packaged as an installer using Inno Setup.

• For Windows 7 and later, use SetupRomProperties-2.7.exe. (Inno Setup 6.6.0; supports i386, amd64, and arm64)
• For Windows XP, 2003, and Vista, use SetupRomPropertiesXP-2.7.exe. (Inno Setup 5.6.1; supports i386 and amd64)

Ubuntu packages are available from an Ubuntu PPA for the following Ubuntu releases:

• Ubuntu 16.04 "Xenial" Xerus
• Ubuntu 18.04 "Bionic" Beaver
• Ubuntu 20.04 "Focal" Fossa
• Ubuntu 22.04 "Jammy" Jellyfish
• Ubuntu 24.04 "Noble" Numbat
• Ubuntu 25.10 "Questing" Quokka

To add the PPA and install rom-properties, run the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gerbilsoft/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rom-properties-all

This will install all rom-properties frontends and executables. Individual frontends can be installed by installing the relevant rom-properties-* package.

I dropped the release .zip file in favor of the installers. Will probably add a standalone .zip for ARM32 on Windows at least, since Inno Setup doesn't support older ARM32-only Windows (e.g. jailbroken Windows RT).

I can bring back the release .zip file for v2.7.1 if needed, but the standalone "install.exe" has been removed, so it'll just have some batch files for install/uninstall.
