Space visible below and above MessageScreen

Describe the bug
I am using Jetpack Compose and trying to set message screen on a tab click which is around half of the screen. But its adding space above and below.
Check the screenshot, Here below Chat Tab and at the bottom blue space is visible.
SDK version

• 6.5.1

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Add MessageScreen on half of the screen or any small area

Expected behavior
This should take full height and width that I have provided.

Device:
Any Android Device

Thanks for the report.
Can you try to update to a later version and see if the issue persists. 6.5.1 is a bit old and there are many improvements done since then.

I tried with latest code but still facing same issue.
FYI, Currently MessageScreen is not exposing modifier.
Internally Its uses modifier with safeDrawingPadding() which causes spaces vertically.
