As far as I remember, it ignores dev-dependencies, but only if they don't specify a version attribute.
There maybe lots of shortcomings around dev-dependencies, as this is no use-case for gitoxide.

Note that the issue was turned into a discussion as it lacks details to facilitate a reproduction.
