Description
The lack of flow control in the BIOS coupled with the default baudrate of 115200 makes the serial comms problematic.
With TerraTerm I can only get the system to sort off function if I set the inter character delay to ~ 250 mS and the eol delay to ~ 350 mS.
Putty sends the characters more slowly but if I attempt to send a file or paste text into the terminal is soon overruns the input buffer.
How about a BIOS fix for Flow control ideally with options for hardware (RTS/CTS and DTR/DSR), XON/XOFF, and none.
It would also be helpful to make the baudrate configurable.
