Another request for the SG 4000....

The SG 4000 has a slider for "Smart Generator auto start/stop". It's used to determine when the SG 4000 will auto-start and auto-stop. There is a slider that on the low end is limited to 0% up to 30% and the high end is limited to 50% to 100%. I'm not sure if the lower end and upper end limitations can be mimicked but having access to the slider would be great.

Actually, I just realized that this setting is not from the generator GUI but rather the Delta Pro 3 GUI.

Hey, sorry for the delay, was hiking last weekend and quite busy this week.

Yeah, start/stop is also available for D3+ so I'll also be able to test it myself. Whati'll do is add 2 sliders, one for low, one for high limit that will be disabled by default as I think most people don't need those.

Just pushed v0.21.0-c.1 - there should be a switch for generator auto start and two sliders that are only availale if this switch is on. Let me know if it works correctly.

I downloaded v0.21.0-c.1 to give it a try.

If I try to turn on the Generator Start/Stop, the switch just turns itself back off.

I verified that Self Start is on for the generator too but it looks like the Generator Start Level and Generator Stop Level are Unknown.

Also, changing either of those level has no effect on the Delta Pro 3 settings.

I wonder if it has something to do with the generator owning the Self Start mechanism jinstead of the DP3?

Okay, for me, the switch and sliders does work and reflects in the app but as I don't have the actual generator, I can't test this. Does the switch turn on when you flip in from the app? There are 2 sets of fields with similar names, but only one of them worked for my D3+ - DP3 maybe uses different fields. You can check what fields change when you enable logging option Log deserialized device update messages and flip in in the app. Look for fields cms_oil_self_start and cms_oil_on_soc

I have a switch that already exists for the SG4000 which is listed as Self Start. Toggling this switch (located in the SG4000 settings) will alternatively toggle the switch for that device in Home Assistant.

I did enable Log deserialized device update messages but the messages are coming so fast that I can keep up with them. I do see an indication of cms_oil_on_soc, cms_oil_off_soc and cms_oil_self_start as shown below which do match my current settings for the Smart Generator auto start/stop setpoints.

Just tried v0.21.0-c.1 again. This time the Generator Start/Stop switch is on by default and if I try to turn it off, it just turns back on.

With this switch in the on position, changes made to the Generator Start Level or the Generator Stop Level from Home Assistant have no effect on the app but changing those values in the app does update Home Assistant.
