Summary:

Sometimes when going from one guild to another one by using the second guild's new message notification, some of the details from the old guild are still displayed. This was reported by Altariel using Chrome on Windows.

I haven't been able to replicate this (Firefox on Ubuntu).

It may be caused by low memory in the Habitica tab but that's not certain.

Details:

As reported by @Altariel (be317a32-c027-4032-bbd5-25ccb21eb912):

Hi, I was going through my guilds using notifications just before, and when I was in one guild and clicked the notification to go to another guild, the webpage title and guild chat changed, but the guild name and group leader above the chatbox where I can type a message did not change.

Update to add that while this only started right before I posted, it has persisted since then and only happens when I use the notification to get to the guild; if I use the My Guilds list, it shows the right guild name and group leader.

The next day she added:

the bug is still happening for me, I just checked now.

I'm using Chrome Version 87.0.4280.141 (Official Build) on Windows 10, though when I looked for the version of Chrome, an update started downloading

I also took a screenshot [below]

An hour after that she added the message below - note the change in bug behaviour:

the Group Leader is now changing, but the Guild name is still not changing when I navigate between guilds using the notifications list.
[That would have been after the Chrome update finished]

And then a bit later:

The only extension I have in this browser is the Habitica System Messages Cleaner, but I don't have it enabled right now.

I copied this from the console: https://paste.ee/p/7bGzL after making a note of the errors that were already in the console. This was what was in the console before I coplied the previous snippet: https://paste.ee/p/M4a46 and I'm including this in case there's something useful there.

Amongst those console messages are these which may be related (possibly other parts of the logs are related too):

A couple of hours after that she said:

Update to say that the issue doesn't seem to be happening anymore, and before now, the tab I look at my Habitica guilds in crashed with an out of memory error, so maybe the memory problem was causing the issue? I don't know, but will update if it comes back

Screenshot:

The URL and HTML title tag in the screenshot are for the Report a Bug guild.
The guild name and leader displayed on the page are from The Rhyme Commando guild.
