Description of the bug:

There are issues with Deku Princess cutscenes and/or the skips for them. The following have been reported:

  • Cutscene before bottling the princess played even with skips on
  • Softlock when skipping the unbottle cutscene, related to the skip. Possible to get out by spamming Ocarina
  • "What are you waiting for?" dialog did not play for me personally. After waiting for some time, I finally unbottled the princess. No cutscene played at all or was skipped. The King froze in place as the Deku Princess stood there. Characters played their post-unbottle dialog when spoken to

Expected behavior:

Cutscenes are skipped once when skips are enabled. Deku Princess dialog plays when expected, and the cutscene either plays out or gets appropriately skipped

  • OS: Reported on Win11 and Linux, while I experienced the last issue on Win10
  • GFX Backend: Metal, OpenGL, or DirectX

I have had trouble reproducing the initial failed skip as well as the softlock
