Scattering not working (version 0.5.4)

Hi all!

And thanks Kramer for your impressive work!

I am having trouble applying scattering to surfaces as I don't see any effect. I even run the tutorial example 7b with no effect at all when trying a simple gaussian scattering.
To make the example work as expected I had to go back to version 0.3.0

Thanks for opening this. I cannot reproduce your issue. It works fine for me with the latest version.

I'd recommend you ensure you're running with the latest version, or cloning and running with the latest master, and check whether it resolves the issue. I suspect it might be a Numba version issue on your end.
