Currently, Heliboard's clipboard history can store copied images and other files, but screenshots captured on the device are not automatically added to the clipboard history.
This makes it less convenient to reuse a screenshot immediately after capturing it. For example, if I take a screenshot and then want to paste it into another app, I may need to open the screenshot separately and share or copy it manually.
Some keyboards, such as Samsung Keyboard, automatically add captured screenshots to the clipboard history, which makes them much more convenient to access and paste later.
I would like Heliboard to automatically add newly captured screenshots to its clipboard history, as an extension of the existing feature for adding images and other files to clipboard history.
When a screenshot is captured, Heliboard could detect the newly created screenshot and add it to the clipboard history so that it can be selected and pasted like any other clipboard image.
Ideally, this would work seamlessly alongside the existing clipboard history functionality without requiring the user to manually copy the screenshot first.
A common workflow is:
Capture a screenshot.
Open an app where I want to use the screenshot.
Open Heliboard's clipboard history.
Select the recently captured screenshot and paste it.
This would be particularly useful when sharing screenshots in messaging apps, notes, emails, or other applications.
