My situation;
HGL on fedora 43 (rpm, not flatpak) and i want to use my ps4 controller connected via Bluetooth in my games.
Controller works flawlessly in Steam and its games.
It works also in HGL-GUI, but not in the games started form HGL.
There is no FAQ or help anywhere on the HGL homepage or this github as far as i could see/find.
(Should the solution be added to FAQ & documentation???)
There are different workarounds if you search the internet for it.
IMHO the best solution i found:
The problem is, a noob like me hast to search the internet for a solution and does not understand half of it. Worse solutions are easier found, some do not work, many are Steamdeck related and so on.
I think using a controller with your games is a common use case.
Instead of setting the "Environment Variable" PROTON_PREFER_SDL=1, can we have a toggle or checkbox like for enabling Mangohud or GameMode?
I imagine for some game types this would be used more often than enabling Mangohud!
What are your thoughts on this?
Are different distros demanding a different fix?
Impact on the flatpak version?
Just my 2 cents and wish for this feature in the future.
