Publish the Vscode extension on Open VSX not just the Microsoft vscode marketplace

Forks of VScode are not allowed to use the Microsoft marketplace. OpenVSX is the defacto alternative marketplace

Why? I am trying out the new Codeium IDE but cannot install this extension
