Can HugoBlox be used with the standard theme mechanism in Hugo?

Hello! I was wondering if HugoBlox can be used through the standard theme mechanism in Hugo. That is, in the Hugo settings (e.g., in hugo.toml) you're able to set the theme value, and then that theme would be used from the theme directory. This is particularly useful as it allows composition of multiple theme components. It also makes swapping themes less cumbersome. Is it possible to set up the HugoBlox template such that it functions in this way? If so, are there any instructions available for going about doing this? And if this is not possible, is there a reason this is not available? Thank you for your time!

Hugo team essentially replaced 'themes' with 'modules' (any kind of modular component including themes), refer to the Hugo docs/forums for how to use Hugo Blox as a module.
