Search field on smart phone(s) unusable #354

Describe the bug
Tapping the search will make it disapear instead of prepping it for use.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to alpha homepage
- Click on lens for search
- prepare to start entering search term and tap into search field
- See error
Expected behavior
search fields stays there and accepts my input before search is triggered and results are shown
Smartphone (please complete the following information):
- Device: Samsung Galaxy S7
- OS: Android
- Browser Firefox, Chrome
- Version very latest
Additional context
testet on 2 not so smart phones of type Galaxy S7 with latest updates and various browsers
