Attached is the document outlining the proposed changes we would like to implement in the Engagement Ontology. These changes follow the approach agreed for the Schedule Ontology, namely revising labels and definitions so that all classes are defined at the intervention level rather than being specific to BCIs.
There are two issues that may require further discussion:
-
Aggregate behavioural intervention engagement duration (currently: "A temporal interval that is the sum of the duration of behavioural intervention engagements for an intervention") is organised under temporal interval. Should this class be considered a one-dimensional temporal region, or should it be a data item because it represents an aggregate measure?
-
We currently have the class "participant engagement with behaviour change intervention" as a child of "participant engagement with intervention". All specific engagement classes are currently organised under "participant engagement with behaviour change intervention". We believe this class is unnecessary and should be obsoleted, with the specific engagement classes moved directly under "participant engagement with intervention". We would like to confirm that everyone agrees with this change.
